Dr. DeSantis grew up in Merritt Island, Florida where she met her husband, Jason. She graduated with honors from The University of Florida (Go, Gators!) and attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry. She pursued her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Minnesota, where she was awarded a Master of Science for her research involving growth prediction of adolescent patients using an adrenal androgen, DHEA.

Dr. DeSantis is an active member in the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Volusia-Flagler County Dental Association. She is also a member of the Vanguard Society, an organization dedicated to the advancement of the art and science of orthodontics through scientific and clinical research.

Personally, Dr. DeSantis enjoys boating, jogging, tennis, and most of all, chasing after her two sons, Zorin and Finn!
