Appointments

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. We reserve the right to charge $25.00 for appointments cancelled or broken without 24-hour advance notice. After missing your second appointment without notifying us 24 hours in advance, you are subject to being charged an additional fee. In case of a cancellation of more than one child, on your next appointment, you will only be allowed to schedule one child at a time.

First Visit

When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. We will ask you to fill out several forms that will get you acquainted with our office.

The initial exam will last approximately one hour. Oral hygiene instructions will be provided along with suggestions to help you care for your child teeth. In most cases, we will also clean your teeth on this visit and provide an evaluation that will outline your existing dental problems and proposed treatment.

Do I stay with my child during the Visit?

We believe that a child's first visit to our dental office should be fun, educational, and most of all, make a positive impression. This approach allows us to provide the highest level of dental health care for your child and spend as much time with you as needed to answer your questions.

We encourage mom and dad to be present with their child during their entire visit. However, if at any time during service, the parent does not cooperate with the dentist, the parent will be asked to wait in the waiting room. We teach you and your child how to best care for their teeth, advice on eating habits, and answer any specific questions you may have. We explain how cavities are caused, what we can do to prevent them, and how your children can help fight gum and tooth disease by brushing properly. All information is provided in an age appropriate manner to help nurture and encourage your child.
